Israeli-News.com: Myth: Pre-Israel, Palestine Was An Empty, Nomadic Land

Information provided by Palestine Remembered.Com: www.palestineremembered.com Israel-Palestine Conflict 101: Taking Off The Blinders In The US www.countercurrents.org “From the early stages of Zionism to the present, Zionists have propagated the myth that Palestinians did not settle Palestine until it was later developed by the Israelis. To facilitate such disinformation, the Zionists adopted the following slogan to entice European Jewry to emigrate to Palestine: “A land with no people is for a people with no land”…” Comments are moderated, and they will not post immediately.

@Tikeslar There are massive amounts of information based on declassified Israeli documents by Jewish authors such as Benny Morris, Ilan Pappe, Martin Van Crevald, Simha Flapan, etc. that show most Arabs fled in terror. I have copies of Morris’ and Pappe’s books. The Palestine Remembered website has archived and published quotes from many of these researcher’s books.

Google: Irgun or Haganah or Stern Gang or Lehi or Zionist terrorism
I wonder. If you are so keen about the world knowing the truth, how come there isn’t a single mention to the fact that most inhabitants willingly left their home at the order of Arab leaders, who threatened anyone who would stay behind to be considered a traitor? I’m not trying to say that Israel is free of any blame, but even if there is some truth to your claim – presenting facts from only one side of the argument drove your video from informative to propagating.
@bluebreeze22 for what it’s worth, Gemara isn’t considered God’s words.
@extazy17 im pretty sure that the torah says something about jews not ever being able to have their own state… and you say that you’re following god’s word, then i guess gemara in Ketubot (111a) would be considered god’s word and jews are committing sin against god by forcing the occupation even after being forbidden to do so…. so either you’re an israeli or a jew
@AliOsmanYomra Jerusalem had a Jewish majority PRIOR to Zionism.
google street view the 1947 version
dont be ignorant people, OF COURSE THERE WAS PALESTINA .
the ottoman empire who ruled for many years have documented the people who lived there, and had been living there. Dont be a zionist please…..just tell the truth
And they say the Muslims are religious extremists. lol
They are home!
Check the Torah. Go ask G-d why Israel belongs to the Jews.
but there was never an independent Palestinian state. that’s a fact. also there vwas is no such thing as a palestinian nation, but arabs that came from many places such as Saudi, Jordan, Syria etc…
The Israeli government is representing the Jewish people. The actions of the American government are reflecting on Americans, including me. Both “countries” are making “us” look bad as a collective people. The sad thing is I think that both countries are being governed by psychopaths. Religion is being used to further political agendas, and it has been implemented as an excuse to divide and conquer by these same “psychos” for thousands of years.
Many people in many countries do care about the Palestinians or anyone who is being used and killed to further imperialist and colonial expansion. I think “countries” are more than the actions and policies of their governments. My best friend is married to a Jewish man. He is one of the kindest and most generous people that I know. When I see the actions in Israel, it is not just the Palestinians who are at risk, but the Jews also. Anti-semitism is growing world-wide as a result.
Well…maybe that’s one of the biggest problems. Considering nearly the entire world did not consider the Palestinians as a people, nor the inhabitants of the land, nor their own kingdom…what makes the Palestinians think that ANY of these same countries care to hear their plight…including Arabia?
I do agree with most of your other comments about remapping, but I’d say before, during and After as so much was changed from that time period on. I do agree..many innocent muslims are suffering.
I am speaking about Israeli and American designs in the Middle Eastern region. Africa is a different “can of worms”, but that is another story…
Perhaps the world needs to remap the world to match the geopolitical climate before or during the Roman Empire? Or does this only apply to Israel?
The British “owned” it after the fall of the Ottoman empire in the early twentieth century. The Western, colonial imperialist powers divided the land amongst themselves. It is no wonder that “no country” recognized the inhabitants. The same thing happened to the Native Americans about the same time. However, many people, mostly Muslims in Middle Eastern countries, are suffering that fate today, and for the same reasons, in spite of the “terrorist” rhetoric.
the reason for the “land without a people” is because not one country recognized the Palestinian people as the actual rulers of the land and it’s inhabitants. It was well known that the area was technically “owned” by the British. Hence the name “The British Mandate of Palestine”. It was also well known that it was a major “trade” route with hundreds of thousands of people passing through constantly. Vast areas of that land were in fact uninhabited like the ancient city of Babylon in Iraq.
Actually, Palestine was the roman word for “Phillistine”. On Roman maps, the area was in fact called Samaria and Judaea..In 135 A.D., The roman Emperor Hadrian banned all people of Jewish Descent from Jerusalem and many moved abroad or were taken as slaves. He renamed it “Syria Palaestina”. The reason for the “Palaestina” on the end was to give the land a name that the Jews despised…their factual Enemy “The Phillistines”. They did however use the name Syria often. Jerusalem was renamed also.
palestine is for the palestinians
settlers goooooooooooooo home!
Look up “Israel’s Ethnic Cleansing pt. 1″ in YT.
So what does this justify?
Look up “Fate of an Honest Intellectual” in Noam Chomsky’s “Understanding Power”.
Palestine itself was a myth. It was all Bilad al Sham/ Greater Syria.
Palestine was the Roman word for the Jewish Kingdoms of Judea & Israel. It appeared on Western maps but neither its name nor its geography meant anything to the people in the region (who called themselves Syrian).
So using your inspiration to “do the math” that left us with 262,000 “Palestinians” who while prolific breeders could not overcome their 40+% infant mortality rate until the Jews introduced superior medicine and agriculture to them in the early 1960s.Where did the figures about “displacing” 5 million Palestinians come from? Why are important facts like Jews bought 40% of the total land mass of British Palestine with cash at 4 times it’s value and the Turks,Bedouin,Druse counted as “Palestinians”?
Thank you LeMonde63, for this historical information.
