Her life is similar to the lives of many other women in Gaza. Her life changes the day she discovers to have breast cancer. This animation, the first produced in Palestine, shows with great accuracy the scenarios of Gaza city. The 27 minutes long story is a breath-taking journey into Fatenahs daily struggles. It uncovers the human drama of her fight to survive. This journey into the heart of the Gaza Strip will touch and move you. Biography Fatenah is an animation that was liberally inspired from a true story. The original story was re-adapted so that Fatenah could represent any young woman from Gaza that embarks on the arduous journey of seeking medical care which is not available within the Gaza Strip. This animation took one year to be completed; it was produced entirely in Palestine by Palestinian producers and animators. The animation was completed in June 2009. The World Health Organization for West Bank and Gaza supported this project from the very beginning. Fatenah is both the first Palestinian produced animation and the first story on access to health for patients in Gaza to reach the big screen. Over the last four years, the number of patients that request treatment

    really wtf is wrong with the world..politics and stuff but they should end it at one point people do live well together is this damn politics money and all ruining everything just put all in place build hospitals roads schools and stop with all the bull…in the end we will all going to die and they will still fight over a stripe of wasted land …geez

  5. Excellent, excellent and excellent a thousand times over! As everyone says this is the most realistic film I’ve seen in a long time! Ironically animated films are popular in the U.S. but rarely do they come close to being realistic as Fatenah! Applause!

    it’s so realistic , so deeply realistic it’s heartbreaking
    amazingly done

  7. A very true view of the situation caused by the colonisation of part of Palestine by extracontinental aliens and the expulsion of the indigenous population. This has led to true tragedy in the area.

    Beautiful. I have worked in Gaza in the hospitals, where doctors have no chance to travel to study, to keep up to date, to have access to real medicine, and people have no access to care. this is real. Good work.
